Regardless of where you fall on the Troy Davis issue, or on the death penalty, a man’s life is scheduled to end tonight…and there is nothing that makes me appreciate my own life more than the reminder of just how fleeting life really is. So often in life, we (myself included) get so caught up in what we DON’T have, that we forget to be grateful for what we DO have. We get so busy asking and seeking and begging and pursuing that we never take time out to simply BE. To sit still and contemplate just how marvelous life REALLY is, and how blessed we are to be a part of it. Today: Wherever you are in your journey, take a minute to stop and give thanks for LIFE. For love. For family. For friends. For another day. For the chance to get it right, no matter how many times you’ve gotten it wrong before. Not everyone is afforded this opportunity. No matter what you think you’re lacking today, there is so much to be thankful for…so much beauty and hope and magic and opportunity and LIFE right in front of you. Don’t let another second pass you by without pausing to appreciate it.
