“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” ~Unknown
The Single Woman Says:
Struggle transforms a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. From struggle, an ordinary lump of coal becomes a flawless diamond. And struggle allows the oyster to transform his biggest trial into one of the world’s greatest treasures. Did you know that a pearl is formed from an irritant that plants itself into the oyster’s shell, which the oyster then layers with a substance called “nacre” in order to protect himself? Eventually, those layers become a bright, big, beautiful pearl. But you know how long the entire process takes? Three to five years. That’s right. Three to five YEARS! And not once does the oyster scream for help or beg to be relieved from the pain or try to pass the buck to someone else. Why? I believe because inherently the oyster knows that you can’t have a message without a mess or a testimony without a test. With the right attitude, you can let the very things that were meant to demolish you, polish you! Every time you stand up and look defeat in the face, another piece of your destiny falls into place. Today: Face your pain head on. Don’t back down. Don’t give up. Refuse to surrender. It is in the midst of the struggle that we become who we are meant to be.
