The Single Woman’s Dash of Sass: July 13, 2011

Quote of the Day:

“I was thought to be ‘stuck up.’ I wasn’t. I was just sure of myself. This is and always has been an unforgivable quality to the unsure.” ~Bette Davis

The Single Woman Says:

When you carry yourself with confidence, people are going to stare. Heads are going to turn. Eyebrows are going to rise. Jaws are going to drop. And people are going to talk. “Who does she think she is?” they might ask. The great thing about being sure of yourself and walking in confidence is that when they ask that, you can stand up, look ‘em in the eye, and say “THIS is who I am.”

Mediocrity always attacks excellence. If you were boring, or plain, or average, you’d probably sail through life without anyone ever tossing a cross word or an ounce of judgment your way. Realize that if you’re coming under attack, it’s because you carry yourself as a bold leader instead of one of the pack. And remember: If all eyes are on you, it’s because people who don’t know themselves are hypnotized by people who do.
