The Single Woman Says:

So many times we wait for a situation to be perfect before we take a chance, take a risk, take a “leap of faith.” Which is why, when it’s all said and done, we don’t take very many leaps of faith in life. We take leaps of SAFE. We play by the rules…color within the lines…live within the four walls of our safe little box because it’s easier to stick with what we know than venture into the unknown and risk someone thinking we’re foolish, or crazy, or wrong.

To live…to TRULY live…we must be willing to risk it all. To be nothing in order to find everything. To leap before we look. To not just cross boundaries but to erase them. To be led by nothing more than our heart, our intuition, our inner voice. To not just go out on a limb, but to dance on it. If you never feel foolish, or confused, or angry, or silly, or crazy…you’re not taking enough chances. When you throw every color you have on the canvas of your life, others might call it a mess, but I call it a masterpiece. Better to get to the end of your journey and look back on a colorful, imperfect mess than a perfect blank canvas.
