Nominate a Fabulous Single Woman in Your Life to Win a Copy of My New Book!

National Singles Week ContestIt’s NATIONAL SINGLES WEEK!

If I were an emoji, I’d be the Dancing Lady (you know, the one in the red dress who looks like she’s dancing the salsa?) right now…THAT’S how excited I am that us singles have an entire week in our honor!

As many of you know, I released my first published book a little over a month ago called The Single Woman: Life, Love, & a Dash of Sass. The book is the grand culmination of all my best tweets and advice I’ve given out over the past three and a half years to all of my wonderful readers and social media followers. Since I get a lot of requests for advice and I can’t possibly answer them all, this book was my way of doing that. It’s all about not settling in ANY area, but holding out for the best while living your most empowered, bold, fabulous life. Since The Single Woman book, blog, & message is such a passion project for me, and because I feel like it’s my great calling in life to inspire the precious single ladies of the world…I am SO thrilled to announce that this week only, I will be giving away three copies of my new book away each day to deserving ladies across the world!

So how does the contest work?

I want these books to go to women who really need the book but are maybe struggling a bit financially. Ladies who might be trapped in an unhealthy or abusive situation and need a little encouragement to get out. Ladies who are overseas serving our country and could use a little extra ray of sunshine. And ladies who have forgotten their value and need a best friend to come along and remind them of just how amazing and precious and priceless they REALLY are. So, all that said:

1)      Please do not nominate yourself…UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE MILITARY. Nominate someone else you know who really, genuinely NEEDS this book and can’t afford to purchase it for herself. If you are that person, please ask someone else to nominate you, just to keep it fair. ***Ladies in the military stationed overseas without access to my book…please feel free to nominate yourselves, and tell me a little about your current situation and duties and what life is like being so far away from your family.***

2)      Please do not nominate anyone who already has the book. Let’s keep this open to ladies who don’t yet have a copy of the book but could really benefit from it.

3)      Please ONLY nominate someone who REALLY needs it. Let’s make this about paying it forward to the ladies of the world who don’t have some of the blessings that we do. This isn’t about winning a contest…it’s about making a difference in the lives of our fellow single ladies.

To nominate a single woman in your life, simply send an email to [email protected], telling me her story. Include anything you think I need to know about her: why she needs the book, how she would benefit from it, your relationship to her, etc. Also please include both your names and Twitter handles (where applicable).

I will be drawing three winners per day this entire week.  This contest is open WORLDWIDE!

Let’s DO THIS, single ladies! Let’s work together to change lives!

I nominate my daughter Deon Tomlin. She is the strongest woman I know.. No matter what life has thrown at her, she has always picked herself up and moved on. She works hard and loves spending time with her 13 yr.old daughter and makes time for her friends. She thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with her ex but he decided otherwise. She was heartbroken of course. I think it made her stronger after she got over the shock. She has so much talent. Deon would enjoy your book and it would help her to be so much stronger. Possibilities are endless for her. I love her so much! Sincerely, Darlene Wright

(I also sent this nomination via email, just just wanted to post on the website too to make sure someone receives/sees it)

Hi there! My name is Kristen Niles and I whole-heartedly would like to nominate my best friend Laura McEwan for outstanding singleness.

Laura has been my best friend since we were in Grade 4 (we are currently 26 years old). She has always been a strong woman and a rock to all those in her life. However, as we both know, those who are strongest for others sometimes have a hard time being strong for themselves.

Laura works hard in all areas of her life but often says to me “I just can’t catch a break.” And truly, that seems to be the way. She has done everything right: finished highschool, went to university and got a degree, and has lived a happy and honest life. But through all that she has been met with several disappointments: she didn’t get into grad school to continue her schooling and get her dream job, and her one and only boyfriend, the love of her life (she believes) cheated on her with her best friend, and then started dating said best friend! Further, years later Laura and this awful man reconnected, and she, for a short time, played the ‘other woman’ to him. Only recently has she began the process of walking away from him, and as we both know, toxic relationships can take several attempts to disconnect from.

Laura has suffered through many heartbreaks and disappointments. If I can think of anyone who deserves and really NEEDS something special to happen to them, it would be Laura. After university Laura eventually had to move back home with her family, due to financial issues. This has led to anxiety and hardships that are outside of her control.

Laura is my best friend, sister, and soulmate. She has been by my side through the best and worst of times, and I owe her more than I could possibly put into words. Laura is always there for me, no matter what the circumstance, along with several other female friends she has. I love my best friend with all of my heart. It would mean the world to me, and would definitely mean the world to her, if she won a free copy of your book, whatever cool swag you have, and a shoutout on your social networking sites.

Laura is an amazing single woman and I truly believe that no one deserves recognition, and a sweet little pick-me-up like she does.

    Best,

    Kristen

37, single for a while, working so much and giving too little time to myself 🙂 I really would like to read your book. I am following daily The single woman on twitter. U make my day 🙂

I want to nominate Dagny Sol of India who writes at http://serenelyrapt.wordpress.com. She is a single mother of 3 kids and once survived almost a month with those kids with only Rs 22 (or 50 cents). She is today a motivational trainer/mentor and mentors me through my tough times. Her writings inspire me and yet I know she goes through her own set of daily struggles between her family responsibilities, her professional dreams and her life path–for we are ever evolving, ever growing in this path.

After reading my horrific comment about my sisters abuse I have decided most can’t handle the truth so I deleted it and I have decided to buy the book for them myself, because I can. I do however think it is great that you are passing your books out. I also think a copy needs to be placed in every crisis center. Sounds like my next project..

I know you asked not to say yourself but I’ve been divorced since 2008 and I have been in 2 serious relationships since then only for them not to work out because the male would never stand up for me to his family and/or friends!!! I have 2 kids I’m trying to raise on a seriously small income so there is no way I can afford to buy the book or I would be first in line!! I send an email but not sure it went to the right place so I’m keeping my fingers crossed and praying you pick me as one winner because I’m desperate. I left my number in the email so feel free to ask me any questions you may have about me!! I want to learn how to live the single life happy instead of depressed and crying everyday like I do now! Thank you so much for just reading my life crap!! All I want is happiness!! Once again thank you from my broken heart.

I would love to nominate Ms. Sarah Covington. She is a special person and literally could have written this book. She just needs a copy as confirmation that what she has been preaching for years is true! 🙂 I have told her about you countless times and how awesome your book is. It would be such a blessing to her to know that she was nominated 🙂

  16. Thank one!!

I shared this on my Facebook account hoping my friends will nominate me due to the fact all my friends are either married or dating seriously. If I’m not placed as a nominee I’ll just save up my money from spare change and get this book. I do believe it would be very helping reading material
