I’ve learned that there are people who aren’t happy unless they’re surrounded by drama. If there’s no drama in their own life, they’ll stir the pot in someone else’s life until they brew up some kind of controversy. These people are not only MAJOR Debbie Downers, they are also toxic. They should come with warning labels: “Hazardous to your optimism!” I’ve found that even in my Twitter timeline and Facebook stream, there are people who regularly spout negativity that leaves me feeling downright BUMMED. And there is NO ONE who is more wrapped in self pity than a drama queen. They ALWAYS think THEY have it the roughest, THEY are the one being picked on, THEY are the victim. Well, guess what, overly dramatic peeps? If there seems to be drama wherever you go, consider the fact that YOU might be the one bringing it! And for everyone else…give yourself permission to “unfollow” negativity, both in Social Media World and the Real World. After all, you are not here to sit in the audience for anyone’s self-imposed drama & strife…but to be the star of your own life!
