The Single Woman’s Dash of Sass: Happiness is Your Birthright

Quote of the Day:

“I’m a happy person. If you want to be around me, you can either choose to be happy too, or follow the signs to the nearest exit!” ~Sharon Swan

The Single Woman Says:

I think sometimes we stifle our happiness for fear of judgment or criticism from others. Some people seem to have a problem with a person who is joyful and lighthearted and happy…almost as though YOUR happiness is a personal affront to them. “Who does she think SHE is?” they ask, almost as though you have offended them with your smile. At times like that, it is your responsibility to stand up and say “This is who I am.” You have a RIGHT to be happy. You have nothing to apologize for, explain, or defend. Anyone trying to knock the shine off you is only doing so to keep the spotlight off their own unhappiness. Don’t fall for it. Never trade your smile for their frown…your up for their down. Your happiness is TOO high a price to pay for ANY relationship.
