It seems that some people are determined to be Debbie Downers no matter what the situation. “Boo hoo, it’s Monday…the weekend’s over…my job sucks…my life sucks…” Well, guess what? There are a LOT of people who didn’t make it to SEE Monday, who don’t HAVE a job to complain about, or who would switch places with you in a New York minute to be fortunate enough to HAVE a computer to tweet and Facebook and document your non-stop complaints from. Here’s the thing: You can’t complain ALL day long, 24/7, and wonder why things never seem to get better. Nothing changes if nothing changes! Your attitude is the only thing that is standing between you and happiness – not a better job, a different car, longer hair, or the perfect boyfriend. Even if someone handed you ALL of those things on a silver platter, if you have a bad attitude, it won’t matter. Nothing can make YOU happy until YOU make you happy. And nothing is ever gonna be ENOUGH for you until you realize that YOU ARE ENOUGH. So today: Take a good look around and REALIZE how much you have to be grateful for…then start giving the world your thanks instead of your complaints. Your altitude changes when your attitude changes. Isn’t it time to stop crawling on the floor and realize that you were born to soar?
