The Single Woman Says:

The thing I have come to love most about life is that you literally never know what’s waiting around the next corner. You can think you’ve got it all figured out and then BAM! Something happens to remind you that you are not in control, things aren’t going to always go your way, and the truth is far, far stranger than fiction could ever dare to be. At the end of the day, sometimes all you can do is have a giggle or two at how wildly off track your life can wander, and be grateful that if you didn’t get where you were trying to go, at least you had a laugh or two along the way. From having my dress blow up over my head in front of multiple flashing cameras at a recent even for the Governor to showing up to a photo shoot only to discover that the girl doing my makeup was the very same girl that my ex cheated on me with to having what I thought was a perfect first date turn into the guy trying to bum $40 off of me at the end of the date…I have learned to take all the hijinks of life with a wink and a smile. What other choice is there? I often joke that my life is God’s Comedy Central, due to the colorful situations I sometimes find myself in. And you know what? No matter how off course my silly little life might get, I’m determined to still enjoy the ride. At the end of the day, if I go in search of Happy Ever After and all I find is the “Happy” part…I’m starting to think that’s enough for me.
