The Single Woman’s Dash of Sass: Life Lessons from Steve Jobs
Quote of the Day:
“If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking & don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” ~Steve Jobs
The Single Woman Says:
Every once in awhile, a shooting star of a human being streaks across the sky of our lives…challenging us, teaching us, inspiring us…then all too soon, leaving us. Yesterday the world lost Steve Jobs, a brilliant, innovative, risk-taking, boundary-challenging, square peg who stubbornly refused to fit into a round hole, no matter how many times society tried to get him to. With his life, and ultimately, his untimely passing, Mr. Jobs leaves us with a rich legacy that many people twice his age could only hope to aspire to. Sometimes I think that there are people put on this earth that are so brilliantly creative and talented, the world can only contain the shiny, sparkly, breathtakingly beautiful light of their spirit for so long before giving them back to the Creator far sooner than we would want them to go. The lesson in this is this: It’s not about the length of your stay here on earth…it’s about what you do with the time that you DO have. It’s about refusing to live a life inside the box. It’s about deciding right now, this minute, that “good enough” is not good enough and giving the world your very best. It’s about knowing so strongly that you were born to fly, that you’re willing to leap off the edge and grow your wings on the way down. It’s about challenging the status quo. It’s about going a little further…trying a little harder…reaching a little higher. TODAY: Pack your bags and move out of your comfort zone. Life is too short, too fleeting, too brief, to do anything less than what you love to do. Make today the day you stop chasing a paycheck and start chasing your dreams.
