The Single Woman Says:
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about happiness and what it takes to make a person happy, and I think the answer is really very simple. Simplicity. The basics of who you were as a person before you became jaded by the events and circumstances and difficulties of life. Recently I read an article that stated that everything we ever needed to know about life, we learned in kindergarten. All the rest you can pretty much throw out. Be kind to others. Play. Wash your hands before you eat. Believe in miracles. Say please and thank you. Wait your turn. Dream. Don’t be afraid to be who you are…no matter who that person might be. When you strip everything else away – the pretense and the masks and the persona that you put on for the world to see – what’s left? What makes your heart skip a beat? What gets your blood pumping? What makes you laugh? What makes you cry?
I would encourage you to ask yourself those questions today and then boldly walk out the answers. Open your eyes and see the beauty of the world around you again. Wish upon a star. Settle for nothing less than magic. Dare to believe.
Second star to the right and straight on til morning…
